Tim Russert was a Buffalo icon; to the Chandlers, he was a person to admire. Matty took Zoey to meet him a few years ago and today I am especially sad. He was a "good guy" and there's a lot to be said for that. Matty said the quote of the day. It gave me chills. Pray for his family.

I could not believe the news when I heard it on my drive home from work, nor could I believe how sad it actually made me. Russert truly was a good guy, as well as one of the last of his kind of journalists - fairness and integrity were his hallmarks. I think the city will be in shock for quite some time - he was one who really "did us proud." And I had forgotten about the picture with Zoey - how wonderful for you to have!
